Baby Dedication

Baby Dedication
FAQ

Baby dedication is geared to families with babies ages 0-36 months, as parents are growing their family and learning what it means to follow Jesus. If you’re a family with older children, we can talk more about ways to support your family in your faith journey.

We practice baby dedications at Renovation, not infant baptism. We know both symbols are important times in a family’s life, but we use baby dedication as a focal point for parents to commit to raising their baby to know, love and serve Jesus. Then when the child grows and makes his or her faith their own, we practice believers’ baptism.

Many families like to dress up because it’s a celebration of a milestone and lots of pictures are taken. But you should feel free to dress in whatever you’re comfortable with.

Absolutley! This is a celebration for your family. Encourage your family and friends to come. Some families bring their Godparents, too.

It’s not. It is a time set aside during the gathering. The parents and children will come up on stage and Brek will conduct the ceremony there. Family and friends will be right near at the stage to take pictures, video and celebrate with you.

First we need the application to get your contact info and to learn more about your family! Then, we’ll contact you about our next parent meeting which covers what the dedication means and the value of the partnership you are establishing with the church to raise your kids to know, love and serve Jesus.
