Young Adult Sunday: Three Voices, One Powerful Message

Young Adult Sunday: Three Voices, One Powerful Message
Each speaker answered one central question:
Why did I choose Jesus?
And together, their testimonies revealed a life-changing truth:
Jesus meets us exactly where we are—and calls us into something greater.
a love that heals and restores
Scripture reminds us:
“But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” — Romans 5:8
This love is not earned.
It is not based on performance.
It is not withdrawn when we struggle.
It is a love that meets us in our lowest moments and begins to heal us from the inside out.
Even in the middle of pain, this speaker shared how joy became possible again—not because life suddenly became perfect, but because God’s presence changed everything.
Their story reminds us that healing is a process, and God is patient in every step of it.
don’t waste the season you’re in
What feels like a wilderness may actually be divine preparation.
“Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness… to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart.” — Deuteronomy 8:2–3
Seasons of discomfort are not accidental.
They are intentional.
God uses them to:
- Strengthen our faith
- Build our character
- Reveal our dependence on Him
And even when life feels uncertain, we can stand on this promise:
“The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.” — Psalm 37:23–24
This message carried a clear instruction:
Do not waste this season.
Stay faithful.
Stay obedient.
Stay grounded in God’s Word.
Because what feels like delay may actually be preparation for something greater than you’ve ever seen before.
God is replacing what you lost
God does not just remove—He replaces.
“…Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” — Deuteronomy 8:3
What you lost in obedience, God will replace with something greater.
Where there was loss, He brings provision.
Where there was emptiness, He brings fulfillment.
Where there was confusion, He brings clarity.
Even in testing, God remains in control:
“Everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.” — Job 1:12
God may allow the test, but He never removes His hand.
the power of God’s Word
“Is not my word like fire… and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?” — Jeremiah 23:29
When everything around you feels unstable,
God’s Word remains unshakable.
It strengthens.
It refines.
It breaks through what feels impossible.
a love that pursues you relentlessly
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” — John 3:16
God’s love is not passive—it is active, intentional, and sacrificial.
It is a love that:
- Pursues you
- Fights for you
- Refuses to give up on you
Even when we turn away,
Even when we seek fulfillment in other places,
God continues to pursue us.
This message emphasized that the enemy cannot create—only distort.
Which means the love we often search for in the world is only a reflection of the true, perfect love found in God.
And the most powerful truth of all:
God doesn’t just love you—He deeply desires you.
Not a perfect version of you.
Not a filtered version of your life.
You, exactly as you are.
the invitation: choose Jesus
Choose Jesus.
Not out of obligation.
Not out of routine.
But out of relationship.
Because:
- His love heals
- His presence sustains
- His Word guides
- His power transforms
No matter your past…
No matter your pain…
No matter your current season…
You are not disqualified.
You are not forgotten.
You are not alone.
final thought
A love that heals.
A season that prepares.
A God who pursues.
And the truth we cannot ignore:
You don’t have to have it all together to come to Jesus.
You just have to come.
Reflection Questions
- Have I truly experienced the unconditional love of Jesus, or am I still trying to earn it?
- What areas of my life need healing that I’ve been avoiding or hiding?
- Am I currently in a difficult season that I’ve been viewing as a setback instead of preparation?
- How is God trying to grow my faith, character, or obedience in this season?
- What cycles, mindsets, or patterns might God be calling me to break in my life or family?
- Have I been distracted by temporary things instead of fully pursuing a relationship with Jesus?
- Do I believe that God’s love is personal, intentional, and for me—or do I struggle to receive it?
- What does choosing Jesus look like in my daily life right now?
Action Steps
Spend time this week simply sitting with God—no agenda, no performance.
Remind yourself: “I am loved by God, just as I am.”
2. Identify Your Season
Write down what season you’re currently in (growth, waiting, healing, transition).
Ask God: “What are You trying to teach me here?”
3. Stay Faithful in the Process
Choose one area where you will remain consistent this week:
- Prayer
- Reading Scripture
- Worship
- Serving
4. Let Go of What’s Holding You Back
Identify one thing you’ve been clinging to that is not aligned with God (a mindset, habit, relationship, or fear). Surrender it intentionally in prayer.
5. Break Agreement with Limiting Beliefs
When thoughts like “I’m not good enough” or “God can’t use me” come up, replace them with truth: “God chose me, and He is working in me.”
6. Take One Bold Step of Obedience
Do one thing this week that stretches your faith:
- Speak up
- Step out of your comfort zone
- Start something God placed on your heart
- Reconnect with God intentionally
7. Choose Jesus Daily
Choosing Jesus is not a one-time moment—it’s a daily decision.
Start each day with a simple prayer: “Jesus, I choose You today. Lead me, guide me, and shape my life.”
